Booking and dates

How do I book a scooter or motorcycle on Roda?
Pick your dates on the home page, scroll through verified listings, click the one you want, and follow the booking form. You will be confirmed in minutes during business hours. Roda is in pre-launch, so direct-link booking is the primary path until full launch.
Can I edit my booking dates after submitting?
Yes, on the checkout page tap Edit dates before you confirm. Roda re-checks availability for the new range. If the new dates are taken, pick others.
What if my vehicle is not available for my dates?
The fleet page filters out vehicles already booked for your date range. If you still see Not available after selecting dates on a listing, the operator booked it elsewhere just now. Pick another date or another similar listing.
Is there a minimum or maximum rental length?
Each operator sets minimum and maximum nights. Most are 1-night minimum, 30-night maximum. The listing page shows you the limits before checkout.

Payment and pricing

How does payment work?
Roda is in pre-launch. During soft-launch, customers pay the operator directly at pickup in cash or local digital wallet. Stripe online-payment integration launches in a later phase. Your booking is confirmed by the operator via WhatsApp before pickup.
Are prices final or do I pay extra at pickup?
The total on the booking page is the rental price, no hidden booking-fees. Operators may collect a separate cash deposit at pickup that is returned when you bring the vehicle back undamaged. Deposit terms are arranged with the operator at pickup.
What currency is shown?
Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) only. Bali operators price in IDR. Use any free currency-converter (XE, Google) for rough conversion.

Delivery and pickup

Where do I pick up my rental?
Most Roda operators offer free delivery in Canggu, Seminyak, and Ubud. Outside these areas, delivery may have a small fee (typically Rp 50,000 to Rp 150,000). The exact pickup-location is confirmed by the operator after booking, usually via WhatsApp.
Do I need to be there exactly at my pickup time?
Aim to be there within 30 minutes of your chosen pickup time. Operators coordinate via WhatsApp if you are running late. Schedule pickup 2 hours ahead so the operator can prepare the vehicle.
What documents do I need at pickup?
Your passport (operator inspects, never keeps), a valid international driving permit or your home-country motorcycle license, and the cash deposit if requested. Roda never holds passports.

Cancellation and refunds

Can I cancel my booking?
Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup for a full refund of the booking total. After that, 50% is non-refundable. Cancel via WhatsApp to the operator or email hello@roda.rent.
What if the vehicle has a problem during my rental?
Contact the operator immediately via WhatsApp. Most issues (flat tyre, dead battery, minor mechanical) are resolved within hours. If the operator does not respond, contact Roda support via the chat-icon on any page.

Safety and rules

Do I need a license to ride in Bali?
Yes. A valid international driving permit (IDP) for motorcycles, or a home-country motorcycle license. Riding without a license is illegal and uninsured. Get an IDP before you travel.
Is a helmet provided?
Yes, every Roda listing includes at least one helmet, usually two. Always wear a helmet, both rider and passenger. It is mandatory under Indonesian law and protects you.
Are there local traffic rules I should know?
Drive on the left. Signal turns. Do not drink and drive. Stay within your skill level. Bali roads can have monkeys, rain, and surprises. Ride safe and enjoy.

About operators

What is a verified Roda operator?
A verified operator is a rental business that Roda has met in person, validated documents (business license or KTP, vehicle registration STNK, bank account, ID), and signed a pilot agreement with. Look for the green Verified badge on listings.
Why are some listings marked DEMO?
DEMO-listings are placeholder examples shown during pre-launch. Real bookings are not available on them. Real bookings activate as verified operators get onboarded with real fleet data. Use the waitlist on the home page to be notified when full marketplace activates.
I am a rental operator, how do I list on Roda?
Apply via List your fleet. The first 100 operators get the Founding Operator Program with priority placement, lower commission terms, and direct-onboarding with the founder. 15% commission, no monthly fee in year one.
