1. What Roda is

Roda is an aggregator marketplace for scooter and motorcycle rentals in Bali. We list every operator we can verify. We mark which ones meet our standard. You choose.

We are not the operator. We do not own the bikes.

What we do: we check the people you are about to rent from, we route bookings between you and them, and we monitor the conversation during your rental in case something needs escalating.

2. Why Roda exists

Roda was born from an observation in Bali. There are many serious fleet owners here who take responsibility and deliver quality, but for the customer it's hard to find the right vehicle for your needs.

From our own experience and stories from other travelers, we saw the same pattern over and over. People spend hours, sometimes days, scrolling through WhatsApp groups, reading conflicting reviews, comparing prices that aren't actually comparable. And even after they book, they're not sure they made the right call. Others get scammed on deposits or handed fragile scooters.

I've stood in that uncertainty myself, not knowing who to trust. Roda is the platform that connects you with the serious operators. Transparent, accountable, simple.

3. Background

Roda is run by Semir Glavas. My background is in quality leadership at major companies such as Volvo, and I also run a residential rental property in Sweden. Both share the same principle: the customer at the center, and responsibility for what you deliver.

When I saw how fragile the rental market was, and how many customers got scammed or simply left confused, I wanted to build a platform that actually helps. You speak with me directly when you book and when something goes wrong.

4. What Roda does not do

Transparency as positioning. The list of things we do not offer is part of the product:

• We do not own or store your passport.
• We do not run a 24/7 call center. We are reachable via WhatsApp during business hours. Fast response is the goal, but no SLA is committed today.
• We do not provide photography to operators. Listing photos are the operator's responsibility.
• We do not guarantee fixed prices across the year. Operators set their own pricing.
